So, let's review. You've raised two amazing daughters, have relationships with two amazing grandchildren, have a long-term marriage, edited a prestigious magazine for years, and have published a wonderful book. And you say you've wasted time? HONESTLY WOMAN KNOCK IT OFF.

Of why I started to pursue my dream of publishing picture books shortly after the premature passing of a friend. She was 39. I think of her often as I take each step in this writing journey.

You are - oh so right! What is holding us all back! You were blessed to have had Sharon with you all this time. And she was blessed having all of you as friends. Angels come in many guises.
She was amazing, truly. And also could be annoying as all hell! Stubborn as a rock, and once she set her mind to something she went all in. But she was a determined fighter.
