I need a better button chair! Mine is one from Ikea that is okay but doesn't quite fit the way I sit. And isn't that logline question from Courtney the most helpful ever?
Loved your comment about not writing scenes sequentially, it's something that I appreciate in novels. And of course there is a caveat, as long as it's not incessant.
There's an art to presenting un-sequential scenes to the reader and I'm not sure exactly what it is. It's very easy for readers to get confused and if they get confused, they'll quit reading. When I write scenes out of sequence, I do go back and order them. Thanks for reading and commenting!
They are French-ruled notebooks like we have college and wide-ruled! I read a book recently (can’t remember which one it was) and one of the characters used French-ruled journals.
I love the French notebooks--but I wish so many of them did not have the graph pages. I'll have to check into the French-ruled notebooks. There should be more French rules in life, I think.
Love these tips! I sometimes write chapters out of order, too. :)
It is a sometimes for me also. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Whatever works to keep me writing!
Brilliant! Love this post! Thank you so much.
Thanks, Simon!
I love the pro-tip for journaling! Thanks, Charlotte.
It's one of my favorite writing things I learned last year!
Printing that one out: already stuck a PostIt on my monitor of Courtney'd logline questions. Yes button chair (mine is an Aeron with an ass pad).

I made note of your excellent notes, thank you.
