Thanks, Mark! And I love this phrase: "Life advice needs to pass through a needle of the sometimes pompousness of the provider." Hey--you should be a writer! Oh, right, you are. And I am very glad of that!

To my beautiful friend and writing coach, you give off thoughtful and kind mother and grandma energy during our Zoom writing group time. I feel nurtured and safe to share ideas and grow as a writer and human. Thank you! Lovely post!

Love the idea of channeling grandma energy to ourselves. Your post also puts me in mind of one of my favorite quotes: in Jack Kent's wonderful children's book "Just Only John" he says "Be yourself, because somebody has to and you're the closest."

Love that quote! I've not heard it. There's also "Be yourself, because everyone else is taken." From Oscar Wilde? I dunno. But I do know I love the grandma energy!

Life advice needs to pass through a needle of the sometimes pompousness of the provider. By the time it arrives, it can kinda be like sending flowers through the mail and having them get delayed a number of days. You wrote a positive and consumable version here. I think it is likely this was positive enough that some just might it (journaling, meditating, and seizing life) Great! Living so near your children and grandchildren sounds awesome.
